We are happy to anounce that Jeffey, one of our rescues won the Greater New Orleans area best dressed male dog honors at the STAR PAWS competition.
HooRah for Jeffey!
Those that attended STAR PAWS had a great time and the hot dogs weren't
the only things roasting. It will be held much earlier next year.
Angel Sullen is home now and cancer free. Sunday April 18, Metairie Humane
joined Pawty 4 Da Pooches at Zephyr Field. The agenda was to help raise money to fund bone marrow transplant for Angel owned by the Sullen family. We wish them good luck with Angel.
Eca was so happy to go to Pawty 4 Da Pooches with volunteer Adrian. Everyone loved Eca but no one put in an application for him, maybe next time.
We are sorry to say that -- our cancer survivor Jagger has come back to us after a brief stay at a nice woman's home. She felt that he needed more attention than she could give him. I can tell he really enjoyed his short stay and yes, we will get him that forever home
Metairie Humane is busy making plans for a Spring fund raiser. That will take place after the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl.
Howl O Weenie was enjoyed by the pets and their humans. Next year will be bigger and better.
Titi the Chihuahua has found a home and is with two brothers and a sister -- all four legged. She has been velcroed to her new Mama since arriving at the home.
It was nice to see so many of Metairie Humane's rescues at our
Howl O Weenie fund raiser.
